1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Booth Saathi app and service.
- Who provides it: Booth Saathi is provided by Digital Planet, a sole proprietorship of Manish Kumar Mandowara, R C Vyas Colony, Bhilwara, Rajasthan 311001, India ("Digital Planet", "we", "us"). It is developed for Digital Planet by Tanishq Raj Mandowara. Digital Planet operates the service and its server.

- Apple's licence agreement: these terms apply in addition to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which governs your download of the app from the App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.
2. Who may use the app
- Booth Saathi is a private tool for organisations that engage Digital Planet, such as a candidate's election campaign or a party unit ("client organisations").
- You may use it only if Digital Planet has created an account for you at your client organisation's request, and only for that organisation's work.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- There is no public sign-up.
3. Your account
- Keep your password private and do not share it with anyone outside your organisation's team.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Tell your administrator or Digital Planet at once if you think someone outside your team has used it.
- Digital Planet may deactivate your account at any time, for example at your organisation's request, when your work for the organisation ends, or if these terms are broken.
4. Responsibilities of client organisations
Each client organisation is responsible for:
- having the legal right to use the voter list and other personal data it uses with Booth Saathi, and for using them only for its lawful purposes;
- deciding who in its team gets an account and asking Digital Planet to create it, and instructing its team to follow these terms;
- complying with the laws that apply to its campaign, including election laws and the law on protecting personal data;
- responding to requests from voters about their personal data, with our help where needed;
- any files its administrators export from the app.
5. Acceptable use
When using Booth Saathi you must:
- use it only for your client organisation's lawful booth and campaign work;
- keep voter information confidential: do not copy, sell, publish or share it except as your organisation allows and the law permits;
- contact voters only in a lawful, respectful way. Stop contacting anyone who asks you to, and do not send bulk, unwanted or misleading messages;
- record only information needed for the work. Do not record sensitive information such as caste, religion, health or political views in the free-text survey notes.
You must not:
- use the app to intimidate, harass, mislead or improperly influence any voter, or for any illegal purpose;
- pretend to be an election official, or present the app or its records as official;
- try to access data of another organisation or account, test or bypass the service's security, or disrupt the server;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app.
6. Voter data and privacy
How personal data is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy. The voter list and the records added to it are kept only for the client organisation's work and are deleted from our server within 3 months after the election, or earlier if the client organisation asks.
7. Not an official app; accuracy of information
- Booth Saathi is not an official app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Election Commission of India, any State Election Commission or any government body.
- The "vote cast" and "not available" marks and the survey answers are the team's own working notes, not official records.
- We do not guarantee that the voter list or any information in the app is complete, accurate or up to date. For official electoral information, refer to the Election Commission of India (eci.gov.in).
8. Availability of the service
We aim to keep Booth Saathi available and working well. However:
- the service may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance, network problems or events outside our control;
- features may change over time;
- access ends when the client organisation's engagement with Digital Planet ends.
9. Intellectual property
- Ownership: the app, its design and its software belong to Digital Planet and its developer.
- Your licence: we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your client organisation's work while your account is active.
- Data: the data your organisation brings or records stays under the client organisation's control, as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to the app for an account or a client organisation that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts other people's data at risk. You can stop using the app at any time.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- No guarantees: to the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is", without guarantees of any kind.
- Limit on our liability: to the extent permitted by law, Digital Planet is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
